Shooting in Marion County on Wednesday

On March 21, 2018, Marion County Investigators investigated a shooting at 14 Killingsworth Circle in the Lampton Community.

Numerous rounds were fired into the residence that was occupied at the time of the shooting. Fortunately no one was injured. Douglas Jarrod Peters, 17, of Columbia, was developed as a suspect. When contact was made with Peters, he fled on foot discarding a firearm. After a brief chase he was placed into custody. Peters is charged with Shooting into a occupied dwelling, Disorderly Conduct, and Carrying a concealed weapon. His bond was set at $10,000.

Also charged in connection with the case was Trashuna Jonnae Edwards, 20, of Columbia and Johnauh Marquise Myers, 23, of Columbia. Edwards is charged with Accessory after the fact, Hindering prosecution, and Tampering with evidence. Myers was charged with Accessory after the fact, and Hindering Prosecution. They are being held at the Marion County Jail awaiting a bond to be set. The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected.
