Preliminary tornado survey information from the December 16, 2019 Tornado event:
-Marion County: Survey teams rated the tornado that went through Columbia, MS as an EF2 tornado with 112mph winds. This tornado began southwest of Columbia and tracked for roughly 6.8 miles, ending on the east side of town. 3 injuries occurred at a collision repair building.
-Second Marion County tornado: Survey teams confirmed an EF1 tornado with 100mph winds developed in the eastern part of the county. Path length was roughly 6.2 miles. Damage was to some sheds but mostly to trees.
