Mississippi Growth Continues So Far in 2016

The magnolia state is poised to have it’s second consecutive year of growth. Last year the gross domestic product for the state of Mississippi was up 0.7 percent. At the half way point this year the state economy is projected to grow at a rate of 1.6 percent. This projection is down slightly from the first quarter, but puts the state in the position of successive years of growth for the first time since the recession of 2008.
