The National Weather Service out of Jackson has issued a heat advisory for today and Saturday until 7pm.
With highs today in the mid to upper 90s combined with high humidity levels will result in heat indices peaking between
105 and 110 degrees today and Saturday during the late morning through afternoon hours.
Heat Stress will reach dangerous levels and could lead to heat exhaustion or heat stroke for those working outdoors.
Take extra precautions. If you work or spend time outside, when possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early
morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting
clothing when possible and drink plenty of water.
