There was a large gas leak in Prentiss on Monday, Aug. 29th within the streets of Pine, Berry and Sebron. According to the Prentiss Headlight, residents of that area were being evacuated by police around 11am and others were warned not to travel in that area. The leak was contained by 2pm. According to the Prentiss Fire Department, the leak happened when county personnel accidentally cut into the line while doing maintenance in the area.
