THROUGH WEDNESDAY EVENING...
The Flash Flood Watch continues for
* Portions of south central Mississippi and southeast
Mississippi, including the following areas in south central
Mississippi, Marion. In southeast Mississippi, Forrest and
Lamar.
* From Tuesday evening through Wednesday evening
* Bands of heavy rain associated with a tropical wave that is
forecast to affect the region during mid week, could bring 2
to 4 inches of rain to the area. Some locally higher amounts
will be possible.
* The flooding of roads, low lying areas, areas with poor
drainage, and area rivers will be possible. If encountering
flooded roads, remember to turn around, don`t drown.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.
You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
