The National Weather Service Office in Jackson confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in Jefferson Davis County near Lucas this past Sunday. The twister was on the ground for three quarters of a mile and was 260 yards wide at one point. Four homes sustained damage, with two of the homes having significant roof damage along with many trees snapped along the way. No injuries were reported.
