The CA boys took third at the Caleb Coleman Invitational on Tuesday, led by Brent Mitchell who came in 4th with a time of 18:06.7 and Kenny Price who ran 8th with a time of 18:48.50. Presbyterian Christian came in 1st and Jackson Academy 2nd. The leader for the individual boys 5k was A. J. Stone from Madison Ridgeland who ran in 17:09.90, second place went to Chad Filbey with 17:42.50 and Jacob Williams with 18:03.80, both from Presbyterian.
On the individual girls 2 mile, Leah Johnson from Hattiesburg came in first with a time of 11:56.20. Second went to Everett Heard from Madison Ridgeland with 12:20.30 and Makayla Smith from Presbyterian came in third with 12:24.70. Ina Claire Parker clocked in the fastest time for Columbia Academy with a time of 15:35.80. In the team competition, Presbyterian Christian came in first with Madison Ridgeland second, and Hattiesburg Forerunners third. The CA girls team finished 8th.
There were a total of 19 teams involved, with 156 girls running and 151 boys.
