A man from Monticello shot and killed his girlfriend before shooting and killing himself…
Lawrence County Coroner Sandra Lambert gave the names of the pair as Denzel C. Nash, 24 of Monticello and Shaniqua Nicole Dawkins, 24 of Hattiesburg.
Police were called to the Westover Apartments early Wednesday morning, where Dawkins was pronounced dead at the scene while Nash was found with a shotgun wound and was transported to the Lawrence County Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
